HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS

The idea for Stuff the Bus came from Eroca Pellerin, a Saskatoon Transit operator, in 2005.

Over the past 20 years, Rock 102 Stuff the Bus has collected over 537,000 pounds of food
and raised more than $574,000 for Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.

The Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre continues to serve up to 23,000 individuals each month.
Forty one percent of those are children.

Last year, Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre distributed 1,386,878 kgs of food
and 95,158 emergency hampers to the community.

The total number of community members served in 2024 was 278,279.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT WITH STUFF THE BUS!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Saskatoon, SK – The 19th annual Rock 102 Stuff the Bus campaign brought in two busloads totalling 17,317 pounds of food and raised a record $66,219 for Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC).

With the success of this year’s Stuff the Bus, Laurie O’Connor, Executive Director of SFBLC, expressed her gratitude, saying: “We are incredibly grateful to each and every community member who contributed to Stuff the Bus. Your support ensures that families in Saskatoon have access to the nutritious food they need, especially during challenging times.”

Stuff the Bus, a beloved tradition that started in 2005, has once again shown the power of unity and compassion in action.

Today’s food donations will go directly towards stocking SFBLC’s shelves, ensuring that no family goes without a meal when they need it most. Moreover, these contributions will allow SFBLC to further their mission of ensuring a food-secure community where all individuals have access to nutritious meals.

Laurie O’Connor further added, “The impact of Stuff the Bus goes beyond the numbers. It represents the spirit of Saskatoon—of neighbours helping neighbours, of coming together in times of need, and of creating a stronger, more connected community.”

The overwhelming support from Saskatoon has been truly inspiring. Thank you to our incredible partnerships and everyone in Saskatoon and surrounding communities who got involved and donated generously. SFBLC is sincerely grateful and astounded to see Saskatoon come together every year and help make a difference.
