Back in Time for Some Exhibition!

Back from holidays and I'm pretty much done now for the year.  Gonna be a long time of straight working now!  I wanted to share some of my pictures from my holidays.  Congrats again to Ivan and Michelle on their wedding for making a great excuse to get a bunch of us together for a wicked holiday!  You know I teased about having to go so far for their wedding, but man is Maui a fun place!

There's Ivan, the groom, showing little stress on one of the beaches.

What's this World Coming To?!

In a matter of days things can go from normal to nutty!  Just think on Tuesday, everything was gravy.  Then the city announced hey remember those cruddy lights we spent $500,000 of your money on for the Victoria Bridge?  Well they aren't really working.  So we're sending back the computer thing to Boston (where they bought them) to get it fixed!  Here's my idea, just send that package one way!  No return address!  Seriously,  the lights are fine.  That's cool.  But they are no better than the twinklers I have on my christmas tree!  We coulda and shoulda bought the

Mr. Hockey Stops In

Saskatchewan's most famous athlete, Gordie Howe stopped into the station today before his fundraising dinner tonight at Dakota Dunes for Kid Sport.

He was freakin' cool. I extended my hand for a handshake and he grabbed my arm and pulled me in for a bearhug, "C'mere!" Everyone who met him loved him.

Hidden Gems

I live in east-end Saskatoon, and to my delight, two new restaurants have opened in my neighborhood recently.

These Girls Are H-A-W-T! (The Saskatoon Roller Derby League starts rollin'!)

So just in case you were wondering, Roller Derby's are back!  And there's a tonne of Saskatoon ladies starting up a league here right in town. (Remember staying up late at night to watch Rollergames?  Heck I think they had a video game briefly too).  Shack, Watson and I are gonna be announcing their first big bout!  May 31st - Soccer Centre (by Lawson) - "Hells Belles" vs. "Bridge City Bombshells!"  And boy are these teams stacked with both.

I need to find a new way to get around...

Gas... is up. My bank account is down. I may need to find a new mode of transport.

We've hit over $1.31 a litre and even though my car's not THAT bad on gas, I am suddenly paying over 50 dollars to fill a car that should take 30.

Searching the net, I found some fuel efficiency tips that I am going to try and use. But I'm not ruling out getting a scooter or something.

Vote for Sexually Attracted To Fire

Sexually Attracted to Fire's song "Roll Away" was selected as the regional winner of the Canadian Radio Star National Songwriting Competition, but the Saskatoon band needs your help to bring home the Grand Prize.

VOTE here and help SATF win!  Voting closes at midnight on Thursday March 6th.

The NEW Stadium

What might this new stadium look like?  Wray and I hashed out the design.
